The first thing you will notice about the people of Abiding Glory Church is that we are very real people who are intensely passionate about God and His presence in our midst. Whether you have been going to church for years or have never stepped through the doors of a church, be at peace, because you are welcome here. At each corporate Habitation Gathering we always have just one focus and goal and that is to be in God's presence and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. This means that many times a variety of things could happen in our gatherings. Some of the things you will experience in our gatherings are these:

A RELATIONAL COMMUNITY
The Church is meant to be "a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession" (1 Peter 2:9). This gives us a picture of a people set apart, a community of like-minded people. In the New Testament, the Church met in large gatherings and from "house to house" (Acts 2:46). To help foster community and fellowship among the believers, we focus on creating Home Groups: small groups that meet for fellowship, worship, ministry, and teaching. We meet together to encourage one another (Hebrews 10:25) as we try to reach the community around us, spreading the Kingdom of God. Home Groups are where we find and develop our gifts — both leadership and ministry gifts. This is a safe place to practice praying for the sick, prophesying, teaching, exhorting, and all of the varied manifestations of God's Spirit through His people. Here you can practice and receive hands-on training without fear. This is the main place where saints are equipped for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12).
These are not just cute little "milk and cookies" home meetings. The focus is that these Home Fellowships would be saturated with the presence of God, with love, with fellowship and serve as a place for community and equipping. Our Home Groups are specifically designed to help you form a vital connection to the life of the church.
As our church grows in size and influence, these small groups allow us to maintain close relationships with each other. Each one will provide you with leadership, discipleship, and relationship and we encourage everyone who calls Abiding Glory Church their church home to be in a Home Group. No matter where you are in life, we have a place for you!
